What is included in the standard cover (£10 per month)

  • Annual service for one appliance (for example a gas boiler), plus a safety inspection for two additional appliances (for example one gas fire and one gas cooker). Baxi back boilers are deemed to be two appliances.
  • Reduced charge of £50 callout for boiler breakdowns (the cost of parts is not included in the cover, however Homecare customers will benefit from a 10% discount for the parts cost).
  • Labour to repair boiler and controls.

What is not included in the cover (work can be carried out at our normal contract rates)

  • Labour to replace radiators, or flush system
  • Labour to repair external pipework.
  • Labour to repair macerators, for example for Saniflo toilet electrical units.
  • Labour for clearing drains.
  • Labour to repair faults as a result of bad design.
  • Any work on property owned by a Landlord
  • Cylinders connected to Regular or System boilers (these can be covered under the maintenance plan at an additional cost of £3.75 per month).

Occasionally, our engineers come across an appliance that may be uneconomical to repair. In these instances, the engineer will advise you of the best course of action. Please note, in circumstances where it’s found that a boiler has not been commissioned (i.e. documentation is not present to prove that it has been installed and tested by a competent, Gas Safe Registered engineer), there will be an additional cost to service your boiler according to current Gas Safe regulations.

If customers choose to have their Homecare service at the commencement of their Plan, and then leave the Plan before 6 months is up, there may be a requirement to pay the balance of the cost for a standard service.
